Essential Oils in Pregnancy, Labor, and Postpartum ~ Part 1

I just took a webinar class about using Essential oils in Pregnancy, Labor, and Postpartum...  yes it was rather awkward having to sign my entire name into a class where all the other participators were probably moms!  I was just Thankful no one I knew was on it too (however you all know now!)...  But hey, the class had some amazing information and as an aspiring midwife/doula and hoping to be a mother someday myself- I found the information very intriguing, the postpartum information rather shocking (yeah, I guess never thought beyond the baby's arrival), and wow God is so amazing to create so many things that are natural that we can use to help/cure problems with!

This is going to be just a minor/rough outline of the notes I took.  So in other words, I'm just a 22 year old young lady- learning myself-- nothing special-- so don't experiment by what I've written (I've been there, done that, and had a horrible result)...  There.  You've been warned....

Pregnancy Oils~

Morning Sickness
Ningxia Red, Orange, Lemon, Peppermint, Ginger, Purification, and Di-Gize.

Indigestion
Peppermint, Lemon, Ginger, and Di-Gize.

Headaches
Peppermint, Wintermint, PanAway, and Deep Relief.*

A field of Lavender~ it's it beautiful?

Insomnia
Lavender, Cedarwood, Valor, Lemongrass, and Peace & Calming

Mood Swing, OTC Replacements
Progessence Plus, Theives, Lavender, Frankincense, and Peace & Calming

Frankincense

*To apply the oils for Headaches just apply the oil directly wherever it hurts.  You can also use a carrier (if you want).  A carrier is just another kind of oil (like coconut oil) that you use along with the essential oil.

One thing I found interesting was about the Peppermint (one of my favorites!) oil.  Peppermint drives oils deeper.  So you can apply oils in layers-- using Peppermint on the top because it will drive your oils deeper.  Isn't that interesting?  Goes to show one how amazing our Creator really is!

Lemongrass and Lemongrass Oil

What are some of your favorite oils?  Do you have any others that you would add to the list above?

Stay tuned for Part 2 where I will note some Oils for Labor. :)

It's Fall, Y'all!

Today is October 1st!

Yesterday, I looked over my next modules and wrote out some goals/schedule for the next three months!!  :)  Recently I counted up all the modules and figured out that I need to do approximately four modules a month- so I scheduled up about 20-something modules that I can choose from each month to meet a goal of at least four which would come out to completing 12 modules.

What goals do you all have for the Fall?  Do you like to write schedules/goals?

Welcome, October!
