Sweet Salt Clothing | Modest Clothing Review

Hello Everyone!!

I'm so excited today to be posting my first review on this blog. :)

I stumbled upon Sweet Salt Clothing awhile back when I was looking up modest clothing online.  I was pleasantly surprised to find that Sweet Salt carries many lovely skirts, tops, slips, and even jackets.  Here is a little bit about Sweet Salt from their website:
Sweet Salt Clothing is a fashionable, affordable, and modest clothing line. We feature basic tops (modest camis, crews, tees, and long sleeve shirts, which are all great for layering) as well as a variety of colorful fashion tops. We also carry modest skirts for all occasions in many styles and prints—from maxi skirts to long pencil skirts.  Sweet Salt modest women’s clothing is sold exclusively at Seagull Book,,  and Time Out for Women events. via
Today I have the pleasure of reviewing two clothing items which Sea Salt so graciously sent me a gift certificate to choose something for a review!  Thank you, Kelly!

First I'm going to review the "Classic Ultimate Tee".  At first I was disappointed because the dark purple was out of stock in my size, but I happy to find that the one I ended up picking "Rhapsody Purple" ended up being quite a lovely color!  I love ordered a large since sometimes tees can be too tight, but I've found that Sweet Salt's clothing is true their stated size-- I'm fine with a larger size, but the medium would have worked fine too!

The Classic Ultimate Tee is comfy, looks great, and matches well with other clothing items.  It's 95% Cotton and 5% Spandex.  It's comes in 13 other colors and several different styles on the website.  I'm loving my Classic Ultimate Tee especially as the days are getting warmer! :)

Now onto the next item....  I saved my favorite for last.  The other top I picked out was the "Scalloped Lace Top".  I chose the Antique White color and absolutely love this top!  It's versatile and one could dress it up with a dressy skirt or put this top with say a denim skirt for more of a comfortable look.

The hemmed short sleeves leave a nice straight edging and the edging at the bottom of the shirt reaches a little farther then it's built in lining.  The built in lining was a huge point for me with this top.  I really like have the lining because it's not see through so I don't have to worry about needing an undershirt.  This top is 80% cotton with a 40% nylon lining (this would be my only negative note, because the lining is nylon- especially on a hot day you feel warmer compared to a normal tee).  This shirt comes in two different colors and six sizes.

Now it's your turn go and visit Sweet Salt Clothing online and for fun- let me know what's your favorite item (it's hard to choose!).  Be sure to follow Sweet Salt on Facebook so you can get further updates on new arrivals, sales, and more and maybe this summer I'll see some of you in some Sweet Salt Clothing".  :)

Be sure to let me know in the comments if you liked this review...  cause if you did- maybe there will be more in the future. :)

“One of the first evidences of a real lady, is that she should be modest. By modesty we mean that she shall not say, do, nor wear anything that would cause her to appear gaudy, ill-bred, or unchaste. There should be nothing about her to attract unfavorable attention, nothing in her dress or manner that would give a man an excuse for vulgar comment. When we dress contrary to the rule of modesty we give excuse for unwholesome thoughts in the mind of those who look upon us, and every girl who oversteps these bounds makes herself liable to misunderstanding and insult, though she may be innocent of any such intention.”

Midwifery Monday: For the Want of Pictures

.....because this blog needs an update!!!

Hello Everyone!

It's a beautiful, hot, Monday afternoon as I'm writing this!  I realized that if I never took the time to write here nothing would get written until who knows when!!  The pictures that I took about a week ago or so it would also get buried in my email inbox and never be seen...  so it's time to dig them out and update this blog!

Welcome to Midwifery Monday- Monday is officially going to be a day when I will frequently or infrequently post my updates here. :)

So here's what I've been at this past June and now July!  Whew!  Medical Vocabulary!!  Oh, how I love Medical Vocabulary!  I still don't understand why we can't say medical terms in plain English, but hey Latin isn't that hard!  And you can look quite professional to be able to throw out these random sounds that are actually words.  :)

In this past module I've learned so many amazing things about the human body!!  We are truly fearfully and wonderfully made!  I even learned some things I didn't know....  like where the pituitary gland is...  yeah go ahead and laugh-- I (probably) learned this in highschool as my mother would say, but didn't commit it to memory.  Looking at the bright side-- I now know where it is and what it secrets in both a guy and a girl.... so I've come a long way!

"Marvellous are thy works and that my soul knoweth right well." -Psalm 139:14b.

How's that for a blog post?

Until next time,

P.S. It was a beautiful, hot, Monday afternoon when I wrote this...... but who knows what it will be when this gets scheduled to pop up next Monday!!  Hehehe!!  Your guess is as good as mine. :)
Read the post here that beat this post by a moment's decision.

Midwifery Monday: Crazy How Time Flies

when you're having fun-- are very busy-- or in this case a bit of both!!

I realized just recently that it's been an entire year now!!!  Well, I'm a little (or very) late, but better late then never- right?  It's been an entire year (February) since I first started Midwifery School!!
As I was going back through my blog.....  I found "ta-da!" when I started my first module <here>, then when I completed my very first two modules <here>, and finally when I sent in my very first set of completed modules <here>!
Praise the Lord for 1 Wonderfully Completed Year!!  I look forward to what this next year will bring and of course the remaining years (probably two) of studying midwifery with MIA. :)
